VIDEO: MD Brewery Brings Back Rare Hops from Along Potomac River Tributary

A rare beer hop originating along the Monocacy River, recently rediscovered, is the star of Heavy Seas Beer’s newest brews. The Baltimore-area craft brewery just released its first beer that uses the Maryland-native hop variety. It’s a partnership with the agriculture experts at the University of Maryland Extension, and our Jennifer Gladstone got to see the beer debut. Watch below:
