Annapolis boat show season starts October 8 with the Powerboat Show. Running October 8 – 11, the 54th annual show at City Dock in Annapolis, Maryland features a new layout to accommodate the ongoing construction of the City Dock project.
We are hearing that tents will be moved and reoriented.
The traditional A and B tents on City Dock have been removed to accommodate construction. Other exhibit tents have been expanded so that the overall size of the show hasn’t been diminished. The show has been expanded further into Compromise and Randall Streets.
More than 350 boats are expected to line the docks, including the Brokerage Dock outside Dock D, showcasing preloved boats available for sale.
The Demo Dock will be at Dock K, and offer sea trials during the show for qualified buyers (sea trials are scheduled directly so chat with them at the show or call ahead to reserve a time slot).
The free seminars will return, located in Yacht Basin. Expert-led sessions cover a wide range of topics for beginners through seasoned boaters. Seminars are included with admission.
On-water training is available for a fee (class registration includes show admission).
Four new bars will create spaces for socializing. The No Wake Zone in Yacht Basin will feature Pherm Brewing (serving its Boat Show Brew) and there will be a bar from Latitude 38.
The Kids’ Corner offers boatbuilding, coloring and crafts as well as casting competitions. Kids should keep an eye out for ducks! If a kid finds a rubber duck, they can turn it in at the show office, info booth or ticket booth to receive a prize. Limit one per attendee.
