Come with us as we head out from Somers Point, New Jersey with Freedom Boat Club to explore the Jersey Shore.
Freedom Boat Club’s director of membership, Vince Lionetti, takes us on a tour that starts by heading out from Harbour Cove.
There’s plenty of restaurants and bars dotting the shore to visit, with most offering tie ups or anchorages.
Our travels start at Crabby Jack’s, open during the summer season and featuring live music on weekends. Lionetti recommends the fish tacos, but there are also small bites, a raw bar, wraps, burgers, and more. A full bar is available, but it’s the Crabby’s Crushes that tempt us the most. The Island Crush features Malibu Mango, banana liqueur, Triple Sec, fresh orange juice, and Sierra Mist.
Next we head to Tideline in nearby Margate City. Fresh seafood, small plates, sandwiches, platters, and more are available, as are Signal Towers, which serve 4-5 people. The Skinny Dipper Tower features oysters, mango shrimp ceviche, shrimp, and crab.
Our final stop on this Dock n Dine is Lamberti’s in Margate City. Newly renovated, Lionetti says they have a great brunch on weekends.
Freedom Boat Club offers its members regional access. Members from out of town can utilize the clubs in the region to enjoy what Lionetti calls a “Boat Staycation.”
