VIDEO: Lessons Learned from Boats Damaged in Flood

Anyone keeping a boat in a slip or at a pier last week likely had a very tense night on Jan. 9-10. Flooding caused the highest tides seen since Hurricane Isabel, and that put boats at risk—whether they were in a marina slip or up on a boat lift. Lines stretched to their limit as water levels rose. Some boats floated right off their lifts when the tide climbed over the pier and up to the lift.
