A unique Chesapeake Bay holiday tradition is growing bigger. Rock Hall’s “crab basket Christmas tree” made such a splash—with its hand-painted baskets stacked upside-down—that Kent Island has adopted the tradition. It doubles as a fundraiser for local watermen, at an especially tough time for the seafood industry.
