VIDEO: How’d He Do It? Boating Photographer Spends 365 Days on the Bay

David Sites just finished a streak that isn’t for the faint-of-heart boater: he went out on the boat all 365 days of 2023. Through storms, wind and cold, often before or after his full-time job, Sites captured beautiful photographs of Bay scenes. And wait until you hear how much he spent on fuel.

While the official Spinsheet Century Club streak is over, Sites hasn’t missed a day of 2024 yet, either. Cheryl Costello spent a blustery January morning finding out why Sites did it—and how he stayed safe and comfortable. Watch below:

David Sites broke all of the records in the SpinSheet Century Club, a challenge to boaters to log 100 days on the water within the calendar year. 2023 marked the 10-year anniversary of the SpinSheet Century Club. Learn more at spinsheet.com “Century Club” page.
