VIDEO: Bay Researcher’s Arctic Study Uncovers Cause of Gray Whale Die-Off

Research happening right on the Chesapeake Bay is helping scientists understand what’s behind a concerning decline in the gray whale population. A researcher at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Chesapeake Biological Lab has made multiple trips to the Arctic region to pin down a key prey species for the gray whale, and her work continues inside the lab in Solomons.
