Join us at the 66th Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show!

The world’s largest in-water boat show is only a week away, and we’ll be in the midst of it all with our partners from the Annapolis School of Seamanship (ASOS). We’d like to invite you to join us at the 66th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), running from Wednesday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.

We are proud media sponsors of the show, so FLIBS has generously offered free tickets for us to share with Chesapeake Bay Magazine readers who can make it down to Florida next week. We are thrilled to announce we’ve awarded all available tickets as of Tuesday, Oct. 28. If you’re headed down, please send us your fabulous photos at [email protected].

FLIBS is known for its vast selection of boats to see and tour across seven locations… including the drool-worthy Superyacht Village! You can get from place to place using the show’s free shuttles or by water tender. In all, 1,300 vessels will be on display. 1,000 exhibitors will bring their brands from 52 different countries.

For the first time, our office mates at ASOS will be bringing their expertise to the FLIBS seminar schedule at the Convention Center. On Thursday, Oct. 30, Capt. John Martino will walk show attendees through how to become a licensed captain—going step by step with the application process, requirements, and how to use your license. In another Thursday seminar, Martino will help boaters take the stress out of docking with little tips and tricks. Key points are situational awareness, line handling, communication, and maneuvering in close quarters.

Docking in tight quarters can induce anxiety even in experienced boaters. ASOS’s seminar at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will make it easier.

There are plenty of new things to see and do at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and we’d love to see you there. (Did we mention that temperatures in the low eighties are predicted for every day of the show?)
