Third Security Scare in Three Days at Norfolk U.S. Navy Facilities

Norfolk Naval Shipyard is the latest Navy installation in the Norfolk area to receive a bomb threat.

It was found Thursday, written on a restroom wall in a trailer at the shipyard, and the surrounding area had to be evacuated, the Navy Times reports.

This comes just a day after six bomb threats were called into Naval Station Norfolk and Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek. They were later found to be hoaxes.

Naval Station Norfolk is just one of the Navy installations targeted this week.

And Tuesday, just the day before that, a diver spotted in the water at Naval Station Norfolk prompted all of its piers to be locked down. After the initial report, nothing was ever found.
