More than 40 model builders display their artistry and craftsmanship in a display of diverse types of watercraft including models of Chesapeake Bay boats and classic yachts, scratch-built models of Tangier Sound workboats, tall ship rigging, early modern sailing ships, radio-controlled sail, electric, and live steam vessels, and many other types. Members of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Model Guild and the Washington Ship Model Society present their extraordinary work. The students in the after-school skiff building programs of the Easton YMCA (Take the Helm) and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum ( Rising Tides) will have their skiffs and other demonstrations on the stage. The historic Cutts & Case Shipyard has open house to view some remarkable wooden boats-some old, some new. Across the street Bruce Beglin invites all to see his work on a gorgeous 26' sailboat.
