See what it’s like to be a archaeologist and excavate an 18th century plantation site through the Public Archaeology Program at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum this May!

Beginning May 7th this free program runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 9am to 3pm and is open to individuals and families (Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult).

This newly restructured program offers fieldwork and field activities all-day Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays offer fieldwork in the morning followed by activities at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation lab here at the park. In the event of rain, all activities will take place at the lab. Bring a bagged lunch!
