Kick off Spring at Bay Bridge Boat Show

Spring has arrived, and with it comes the first on-water boat show of the season. The Bay Bridge Boat Show, held this Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14 at Bay Bridge Marina, brings new boats and activities for 2019.

The boat show will feature more than 400 boats, ranging from seven to 70 feet. Several manufacturers will show off new models, including MJM Yachts, Tiara, and Southport Boats. Boston Whaler’s new 380 Outrage and the new Yamaha 275 bowrider will both be on display. Eastern Bay Yachting Center joins the show for the first time.

Also for the first time, the show offers a new VIP Experience, which includes reserved parking next to the gate, catered buffets from Hemingway’s, and all-day drink tastings, all separated from the rest of the show.

Chesapeake Bay Magazine will be there offering free seminars that cover new Bay cruising hot spots, the best nautical mobile apps, how to get your captain’s license, and docking lessons from Annapolis School of Seamanship’s expert captains. Find details on all of the seminars here.

There’s plenty to eat, drink, and entertain your children, too: There will be beer and food stations, a pool bar, and a separate kids’ area with moon bounce and face painting.

Organizers say it’s a great time to be a boater, and this show reflects that:

“The vibe is positive, new boats are being introduced at all recent shows, and propulsion, navigation, steering, and stabilization systems continue to evolve at a rapid rate,” says Annapolis Boat Shows President, Paul Jacobs. “These are exciting times to be a part of boat shows and the marine lifestyle, in general.”
