On May 18, June 15, July 20, and August 17, guests can hop aboard the Aquarium’s boat for a two-hour cruise dedicated to all things craft beer. From sampling local brews to chatting with brewery representatives, cruisers will be able to enjoy featured beverages and the surrounding Virginia Beach scenery.

The Aquarium says Norfolk’s O’Connor Brewing Co. is set to cruise in May, June, and August.

Cruises will depart from the Aquarium’s boat dock, which is located next to the harbor seals exhibit. “Pop-up” food can be purchased in the parking lot prior to boarding theAtlantic Explorer. Guests can also purchase snacks once aboard.

The Craft Brews Cruises are being offered as part of the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s Sensible Seafood Program partnership. The Program promotes sustainable, ocean-friendly seafood. Area restaurants, stores, caterers, wineries, and breweries that participate in the partnership demonstrate their support of sustainable seafood.

The Atlantic Explorer is known for offering a variety of marine and and wildlife cruises, including Dolphin Discoveries, Whales & Wildlife, and Ocean Collections.
