Thanks to a partnership between the Sea Tow Foundation and Oasis Marinas, more life jackets will be available to boaters in Maryland, Virginia, and DC.

The Sea Tow Foundation, a non-profit safe boating organization, has partnered with Oasis Marinas, a slip reservation company based in Baltimore, to host three Life Jacket Loaner Stations that will open in June.

More than 30,000 life jackets are already available nationwide through the Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program, which lets boaters use jackets for the day for free.

The stations, each of which will hold 18 jackets, will be at the following properties managed by Oasis Marinas: The Yards Marina in DC, Coles Point Marina in Hague, VA, and Harbor East Marina in Baltimore.

Next year, a station will be offered at Piney Narrows Yacht Haven in Chester, MD.

Sea Tow Foundation Executive Director Gail R. Kulp says the partnership with Oasis Marinas was a natural fit. “Having three Life Jacket Loaner Stations set up in the nation’s capital is huge, especially considering the area’s strong boating culture. Oasis Marinas shares many of the same ideals we hold dear at the Foundation, so partnering with them to help save lives on their home waters was an obvious choice.”

Sea Tow and Oasis Marinas previously partnered last fall to offer marina discounts through the Sea Tow Savings Club.
