Oasis Marinas Takes Over at Sixth Potomac River Marina

Another Potomac River-area marina is now being managed by Oasis Marinas.

Oasis took over at Point Lookout Marina, on Smith Creek just off the Potomac, on December 1. The full-service marina has 160 deep-water slips, and extra perks like the Sunset Cove Waterfront Restaurant, two furnished cabin rentals, a ship store and swimming pool.

Under the new management contract, Oasis will be responsible for managing the slips, marina, boatyard services, fuel and retail, maintaining the buildings and grounds, and marketing.

Point Lookout Marina owners Joseph and Cynthia Salvo say they’re excited to grow the marina with the help of Oasis, but say they’ll continue to honor “the traditions of our marina and surrounding community.”

Oasis, a four-year-old marina management company based in Annapolis, has added a total of six properties on the Potomac River to its portfolio.

“Point Lookout Marina is a full-service facility that will serve as a great addition to our family of marinas,” said Dan Cowens, Founder, Oasis Marinas. “The marina’s location on Smith Creek as well as its great amenities onsite, make it a great destination for our boaters cruising up and down the Potomac River.”
