Hinckley Yachts Descend on St. Michaels this Weekend

Tens of millions of dollars’ worth of beautiful boats will be casually docked on the Miles River this weekend, and on Friday you can get an up-close look.

The annual Hinckley Owners Rendezvous is being held on the Bay this year, at the Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond.

More than a dozen of the luxury yachts will begin arriving midday Friday, some from as far away as Florida. Inn at Perry Cabin now has its own Hinckley to join the party— a 55-foot yacht called Five Star, which is available for charters and the hotel’s “Skip the Bridge” escape packages.

Perry Cabin is opening its docks and lawn to the public on Friday, from 3 to 5 p.m., so that people can get a better look at the beauties, and chat with the Hinckley company and the boats’ owners.

The rest of the weekend, the Hinckley owners will be enjoying cocktail hours and plated dinners at Inn at Perry Cabin. They’ll also take a day cruise to Kent Island on Saturday.

Only 50 Hinckley boats are built each year, all of them custom, all of them between 29 and 79 feet long.
