Rockfish Tournament Raises $76K for Critically Ill Kids
The rockfishing crowd is a generous group. The Casey Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides activities for critically ill children, announces its recent rockfish tournament raised more than $76,000.
The second annual tournament was held on a very sunny June 2nd, with more than 30 boats out looking for fish.
Jason Zagasky and the Rockin' Robin crew caught the largest fish at 14.5 pounds. The Bernsteins came in second with a fish weighing 13.55 pounds.
All of the crews returned to the Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Resort for cocktails, a dinner of fresh rockfish, and dancing.
Casey Cares is already looking forward to a 3rd Annual Rockfish Tournament, tentatively planned for next June.
