New Boatel Under Construction on Kent Narrows
Kent Narrows Marine is building a new boat-storage facility, expected to be finished this fall. It's located on the northwest side of the narrows, next to the public boat ramp.
The owners, Rob Marsh and Jody Schultz, checked out 70 different properties before designing their boatel.
The heated, indoor racked storage system will be four racks high, and able to handle boats up to 40 feet (LOA). Construction is happening in two phases, with each phase allowing for the storage of 200 boats.
The 72,000-square-foot building will include retail bays on the back side of the ground floor. Kent Narrows Marine is also planning for a restaurant adjacent to the facility and a boardwalk along the water.
The Boatel's grand opening is set for November 1. Kent Narrows Marine are already accepting deposits for annual and winter storage. Of the 200 spaces available in Phase I, 47 are already claimed.
