New Beer at Greene Turtle Benefits Sea Turtle Conservancy

A new beer is on tap at local sports bar chain, The Greene Turtle. In a no-brainer partnership, the beer will help raise funds to protect sea turtles.

The new Shell Raiser IPA is made by DuClaw Brewing Company in Baltimore County. The brewers describe it as "a North-Eastern style IPA that is juicy, vibrant and has hints of nectar, clocking in at 7.2% ABV."

Just in time for World Sea Turtle Day, Greene Turtle launched the beer over the weekend, pledging to donate $0.25 for each pint sold to the Sea Turtle Conservancy.

The company says Shell Raiser came out of the gates strong, and nearly 2,000 pints were sold.

The Sea Turtle Conservancy aims to ensure the survival of sea turtles in the Atlantic, Pacific and the Caribbean, and is the oldest sea turtle conservation group in the world.
