The port city of Norfolk has been named “America’s Favorite Hometown” by Travel + Leisure magazine.
Visit NorfolkThe magazine’s annual America’s Favorite Places survey asks readers to weigh in about what makes their hometown great, then takes a composite score of individual categories including things to see and do, clean streets, and friendly locals. Travel + Leisure said Norfolk “impressed on all fronts.”
Norfolk residents gave it high marks for big, clean beaches, a strong public arts scene, and a large number of craft breweries! Travel + Leisure also took into account Norfolk’s “amiable year-round weather, the approachable residents, and its under-the-radar vibe.”
