Find Your Chesapeake: CBM Partners with National Park Service Trip Planning Guide

If you’re eager to start planning your summer day trips and getaways around the Bay region, there’s a new trip-planning resource to help you explore.

Chesapeake Bay Magazine is partnering with FindYourChesapeake.com to expose locals and visitors to travel opportunities all over the watershed. We look forward to sharing content with the unique trip planner.

FindYourChesapeake.com is the National Park Service (NPS Chesapeake)’s tourism-focused website covering the Chesapeake region, which includes more than 350 special places around the Bay watershed, many along the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail. It’s a collaboration between NPS Chesapeake and the Chesapeake Conservancy, with help from other partners.

You can search for local and state parks, national parks, historic boats, museums, downtown communities, wildlife refuges, and more, and read blogs written about personal first-hand experiences.

The Chesapeake Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to Bay conservation efforts, and Chesapeake Bay Magazine, believe that spending time on the Bay is the best way to appreciate and learn to protect it.

“With this tourism website, the National Park Service is helping people enjoy the Chesapeake Bay and its great rivers,” said Joel Dunn, President and CEO of the Chesapeake Conservancy. “What you enjoy you fight to protect. That’s good news for the Chesapeake.”
